2020 Learn To Row (H): Jul 13 - Jul 29, Mon/Wed 6:30-8pm
The Learn to Scull program is designed to introduce participants to the sport of rowing and teach proper sculling technique for anyone that has no prior rowing experience. The program includes 9 hours (6 x 1.5h) of small group coaching and will cover equipment handling and safety, getting in/out of the boat, stroke sequence, rowing, backing, turning and docking.
Participants must be 18 years or older, and for safety reasons must be able to swim 50 meters. There is a maximum weight for rowers in our teaching boats of 220 lbs. Rowers need to have the flexibility to squat for getting in and out of the boat.
Participants are required to attend all sessions and to be at each lesson for the duration of the session. Please do not be late. There are no make-up sessions. If a participant misses a lesson, it is the responsibility of the participant to contact the instructor to arrange private lessons to complete the sculling class curriculum; standard private lesson fees will apply.
You do not need to be a member of the club in order to participate in a Learn to Row program.
